Klonoa - Elemental Forms

Phew, finally posting this up. These are the notes for my Klonoa game idea, which I just came up with because of the contest held at . I started with the sky form and just went crazy. I love elemental-based things, what can I say?

K so. The main gameplay of this would be the same puzzle-type Klonoa-grabs-enemies-and-obstacles-and-does-stuff-with-them thing. But some parts of stages would require more specialized skills, like swimming.

Klonoa would have to find an elemental ring in a part of a stage. Once he gets this ring, he can freely change into or out of the form associated with that element. Each form would have its drawbacks, so the player couldn't simply use one form throughout an entire stage.

More complex puzzles could need all 4 forms (with or without normal form). Bosses could also need to be defeated with a certain form.

Arms get wing-like extensions
Earch change almost like wings
Hair strands stand up/back
Jacket shorter
Shoes get wings
Color scheme change
Gloves same
Tail longer and more aerodynamic

(Lower left)
Ring becomes collar
Collar becomes part of jacket
Shorts are not so huge, belt stays

Can fly
Special tornado attack - blows away (or up) enemies/blocks
Can't grab enemies

Fire form
Normal ring

Leaves a small path of fire

Can both hold an enemy and attack with fire
Special fire attack

Ring becomes belt
Huge metal gloves and metal soles

Cannot grab enemies
Can destroy obstacles

Boots get "fins" on both sides
